Norman Daniel Cota (1893-1971) was Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3, 1st Division of the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1943, and also Assistant Commander of the 29th U.S. Infantry Division in the European Theater of Operations (ETO) during 1943.
